How It Was Done

The Problem
King’s Energy field service technicians were burdened with an inefficient way of populating forms and configurations from field service calls. Furthermore, the technicians stored the most current configurations locally on their laptops and had to update the main database upon returning to the office. This caused many data synchronization issues.

The Solution
Poeta migrated database environment to a cloud-enabled hosted environment which solved the synchronization issues. Secondly, Poeta designed and built a Mobile iOS platform that allowed field service technicians to be more efficient and productive by pulling data from the cloud and other disparate systems to pre-populate forms and configuration. Subsequent integration to King’s Energy’s financial system allowed service technicians to generate invoices on the spot in the field.

The Result
Field service technicians completed their jobs faster and more accurately while reducing the workload on central office staff cleaning up data integrity issues. Integration work tied to automated invoicing also helped King’s Energy improve cash flow.
