Software Sales Account Manager

Poeta Digital is looking for an experienced Software Sales Account Manager with established personal networks in Oil and Gas in production, infrastructure or software to lead its rapidly expanding sales efforts. Join us and become part of a team of people who will challenge and inspire you! The Software Sales Account Manager will call on medium and enterprise Oil and Gas accounts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, plans and executes strategic sales and territory plan and executes tactical sales tasks 
  • Manages the daily operations of Poeta’s sales and client relations, builds and maintains relationships with new and existing clients and drives all prospecting & lead generation initiatives and manages the sales pipeline
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of Poeta’s software products and services
  • Conducts full-form prospect discoveries to help solve our prospect’s business problems, increase operational efficiency and delivers technical presentations using a consultative/advisory approach 
  • Works with our prospects to help solve their business problems and increase operational efficiency through the adoption of custom digital solutions
  • Prepares technical proposals, solutions, presentations and tender responses during pre-qualification & tender submission to ensure that it meets customer requirements
  • Manages Poeta’s revenue forecasting and new project workflow
  • Qualifies and advances inbound leads and prospects through the sales cycle
  • Partners with Marketing & the Technology team to execute Poeta’s sales strategy while  evangelizing Poeta’s brand
  • Manages the revenue development portion of strategic partnerships
  • Supports competitive assessment activities as assigned  

Required Skills:

  • 5-8 years of direct sales experience in Oil & Gas in Canada & the United States
  • 4+ years of technology, consulting, solution or software selling experience
  • Understands the software development lifecycle 
  • Has a strong network with Oil and Gas key decision makers 
  • A team player with good communication skills 
  • Creative & innovative problem solver - thinks conceptually & 'out of the box'.
  • Achievement-oriented - focuses on delivering results.
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills
  • Proven success in breaking into new markets or industries 
  • Comfort in building relationships and work with VP and C-suite executives
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Experience in working and managing a CRM
